View Full Version : IceCap Inc not responding

Is IceCap still in business? Last week I sent in a 660 ballast for repair and have not heard back from them. When I call, nobody answers the phone. I searched this site and others are having the same problems. In the meantime, I'm thinking of purchasing a new ballast in case I never get mine back. My 150g reef has been running only one ballast for a week(usually 2 ballasts with 6 total 80watt bulbs). I've been running 3 80watt t-5 lights and the other three need a replacement ballast. What ballast can I buy to replace the IceCap 660? I don't want to buy another IceCap ballast if they company is going downhill. What brands are good and where can I get them? I need 1 ballast to run 3 80watt t-5 lights. Any thoughts?

I'm having the same problem I bought some DE250 watt 20K IceCap bulbs . One quit working less than 60 days from when I bought it. Found out it only had a 30 day warranty from their website . I was wanting them to contact me about some kind of discount. That was a lot of money for a defective bulb. I've emailed them 3 times and no responce.

I hope not, no problems currently, but I do own some Ice Cap products.

Advance makes the cheapest proper t5 ballast that I've been able to find.
