Anybody know what I'm talking about? Does anyone know what this is? I haven't got a photo right now as I'm at work, but the back glass of my aquarium is COVERED in little pod-sized white... spirals. They don't appear to be snails and they are either stationary or barely move.

The "shell" is white and the feathered head that comes out is red? (( might not always noticed the red head )). IMO/E, they are harmless little filter feeders.

If they are feather dusters, I've yet to see the "feathers". They do look like tightly coiled tube worms, but I haven't seen any "internals" at all.

Yup I agree...they seem to love my back glass more than anything. I don't see them on the rock much.

Sounds like spirorbid worms. Harmless filter feeders.

Most likely spirorbid worms. Google some pics to see if they match.

That looks close but I think mine are slightly different. Will try to snap a pic later. Could be that's what they are but they seem to be coiled *slightly* more loosely than those pics, with a finer "tube".

I think I have a photo. I'm sure I took the pic through a magnifying glass. They are a lot tinier than this. I did that with a few things in my tank.

Yeah I think that's it. My eyesight must be worse than I knew, I can't see any feather duster heads on any of them at home.

I'm sure I took this through my camera zoom and using a magnifying glass. Makes my little tiny scratch look HUGE! Get a magnifying glass and look at home. Sure helped that this guy was on the front glass :)

And my glass is dirty b/c I wanted a pic before I cleaned it off!

yup feather dusters. always feel bad cleaning them off the front.
