Just so I have this right...

1. I remove my shroom from my tank.
2. I cut the disc of the stem.
3. I return the stem back to its spot in my tank.
4. I slice the disc into four pieces.
5. I put the slices in a plastic container filled with rubble and covered with a mesh lid.
6. I wait 2 weeks then remove them and place them in my tank.

Please tell me if I have anything wrong.

Should work fine- times can vary of course due to water quality etc. The only thing I see that needs explanation is where you are putting the disc frags while they are in the mesh top box. Usually the sump or display is where they are placed.

sounds right. I know it's hard to get yourself to slice up a good mushroom, but they will usually come back. Good luck.
