Hey!
I just upgraded my equipment recently and i'm not very happy with it.
I bought an eheim pro ii and i threw away the receipt a while ago, after adding some ceramic balls to the filter media baskets and assembling it back, the filter started to leak(!)
the LFS avoids dealing with it
eheim costumer support- no answer for over a week.
I really don't know what to do i tried deep cleaning the filter rubbers, lubricating everything and testing it on a sink and it was even worse! i had half gal on the floor in a few seconds..
what canister filters are considered reliable?
I had the classic before it wasn't bad at all just harder to maintain too bad i don't have it anymore..
I don't really care about easy maintenance anymore i just need something silent and something that won't leak.. any suggestions?(for a 20G)

I would just ditch the canister filter and go with a sump and protein skimmer.

I bought a Rena XP3 for my 75 gallon. It is quiet, no leaks, easy as hell to maintain weekly and keeps the tank clean in conjunction with skimmer, live rock, etc. Get a Rena is my recommendation.
