I just got a new Hamilton SE 175 watt 14,000K bulb yesterday for christmas. The part of the bulb that lights up, the "wick" I guess you could say, the ends are a little dark. There not black, there just not clear. Is this normal for a new bulb, or should everything thing be clear? I haven't fired it up yet. I'm waiting until next Saturday. Thanks.
