DIY food

I've read some info on DIY food, and I'm working on a blend that will hopefully allow me to feed my freshwater and saltwater at least a staple food, with some other specific food for both, my freshwater fish love mysis, so :)

Anyway, does anyone have an opinion on if beef heart is okay for saltwater fish?

I have made some DIY food for marine fish before and read quite a fair bit when i did it. I think the common sense approach works best... If you don't expect to find the item in the sea, then it should not be part of the diet for marine fishes... hence, no beef heart.

Unless of course you are like Jessica Simpson, who thinks Chicken of the SEA is chicken... LOL :P
