I don't know if the ick got him or the angel.... should we get some cleaner shrimp to help the minamize the chance of further infections or will the koran eat the shrimps???? HELP!!!

Tank stats?

Safest thing to do is remove all fish to a quarantine tank and treat the fish while leaving the tank dormant for six weeks.

Also try to find the other fish, ich shouldn't have killed him that fast but you don't want it messing with your water if it did die.

koran will eat shrimp but shrimp won't really help in this situation.

You need to QT fish before adding them.

You have a few options.

-Remove the fish into a hospital tank where you can medicate with copper.
-Let it go on and keep feeding them high quality foods.

Ick shouldn't kill a fish in its first cycle but its possible and or something else at play.

In the future you should QT all new additions or purchase the fish from someone who QTs. Not that this advice helps now and not that you haven't heard it before but it is the only way to keep ick out of your display.

Shrimp won't help. The ich is deeply embedded in the skin, and the shrimp only takes the top off the pustule. In-tank cures will damage or destroy your live rock.

remove all fish (not inverts) to the qt and treat with hyposalinity until 4 weeks after LAST sighting of spots. Leave DT fishless for 8 weeks. Then return fish to DT.
