View Full Version : Carbon filter in a Wet/Dry

hello RC first time poster little while prowler

I use an activated carbon sheet under my blue/white filter pad have ben doing that for a while well now a while is up all the carbon filter pads i find are about 1/4" to 1/2" and thats to thick the stuff i have ben using is about as thick as a chunk of cardboard box anyone have a better way besides a reacter because atm no room for that.

tank 75 gal reef/fish most soft coral little sps
2 2500 rio return pumps
sealife 200 gal rated skimmer
wet dry that was 4 a 300 gal motified for my 75 gal

You can just fill a nylon stocking with carbon and tie it off at the top. Rinse it wi/ RO water and throw it in your sump. Just having sit in your sump will do the job.

would be best to throw it in the return pump area or behind the sponge?

Any area of high flow should be fine.
