You don't fresh water dip corals, dip them in Lugos (or other brand) Iodine solution and then in Revive cleaner.

ive had a couple ppl tell me to dip corals in fw, they tell me it quickly removes flatworms and other junk, just never told me how long or any other details really lol, so is this bogus?

I could very well be wrong, but the reason we do freshwater dip on FISH is for parasites on fish, when dipped in freshwater, they get shocked and killed by the osmosis pressure, although the fish can handle it. (salt equalizing on inside and outside.)

for a delicate coral, you gotta see who takes the osmosis shock better and doesnt die :) I dont think most delicate corals can out-live flatworms for it to work ...

fw works on zoas just do it for 5 mins any longer and you will get blisters on the zoas
they go away but it is really a good way to get rid of some scary pest like zoa spiders that survive lugos and revive
