I just got my 55 gal with 20 gal sump up and running. The water filtration system is real quiet but the 9.5 Magdrive pump is humming away. It is from the pump sitting on the glass which also hums throught the cabinet.
I've tried some rubber weather strip under the pump, rubber sheeting for no slip on furniture. It all helps a little.
Does anyone have a good fix for this?

When I had my mag 9.5 in my sump I took 2 pieces of half inch tubing and glued it onto the bottom of the pump, It helped a good bit.

Use flex tube if you are not already. You could also use a string, tied to the tubing, to suspend the pump, so it is just hovering freely in the water

Good suggestions, for now I put a nylon sponge scrubber under it. I had recieved this sponge with the nano cube I got a year ago. The previous owner used it to clean the acrylic. It toned it down alot. I did notice when I raised it the sound totally went away. I will think on the string idea. Maybe build a hammock for it :-)
