Are scooter blennies affected by ich

I'm fairly sure they can get it but like other dragonets they have a thicker mucus coating than other fish species, which offers them more protection from it. They are usually very susceptible to medications and i've heard experts advise you not to treat them in the event of a tank break out, but this is usually more to do with them not catching it.

all fish get ich. the 'protection' some fish have to it doesn't do much.

scooters seem super hardy. I had a ich breakout along with another disease over the last year and my only survivor was my scooter blenny from the first and ironically a flame angel and coral beauty after the second. I believe the second was marine velvet, that stuff was horrible
