I've never had a problems with angels and nems, not sure about puffers and triggers. I wouldn't do one of the larger holacanthus or pomacanthus angels in a 150 but there are a lot of medium sized species that would do nicely in a tank that size.

Remember--puffers can & will eat fish.

how bout the spiny box or striped burrfish?

They can be a difficult species to keep. Many are hard to get eating & must be treated multiple times for internal parasites. An extended QT is necessary.

Never, ever, buy a Burrfish that you don't see accepting food in the store. I think 90% of them die in captivity between being loaded with IP's and just not accepting food. One of the admins on my forum has one. She says she has to treat hers for IPs every 6-8 months or she's reinfected & starts loosing weight. She uses GelTek--says her fish hates the taste of other de-worming meds. I also wouldn't suggest keeping 2 of them together.

I did a search & found these posts from her on this fish: http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&keywords=%2Bburrfish++&author=myaj

Here was my babyburr:

are they very territorial? do they not pair in the wild?

Of course they breed in the wild but we're talking about captivity here. Most puffers don't play well with conspecifics & often not with other species either. I've never seen burrfish hanging out together in the wild, only singles. I believe the gal at my forum had her Maroon clown eaten by hers burrfish.

I have heard this a lot. I bought one a couple months ago, acclimated him to QT, and he was eating mysis within five min. I treated him twice with prazi pro, and treated with hypo for four weeks just to be safe. He is in the DT now, and is boss. He eats pellets, frozen, clams, mussels, pretty much anything that hits the water. Great fish IMO

LOL, I forgot the point for a sec.
In my personal experience, I have a large (8"+) porcupine puffer that is soft coral safe, but ate two clown fish when he was small.

I have a picasso trigger that I regret adding because he spits sand on everything, and killed my cuc within fifteen min. I thought it would take a little longer.

The burr fish is in a friends new tank, and hasn't bothered any zoas, shrooms, or snails yet, but it has only been a month.
Good luck!

That's great! It does take a lot of work to get these guys into good shape but they certainly seem to be worth it. I lost my baby to crypt. :( Got her at 1". She was hypoed & healthy & I made the stupid mistake of shipping her off to CAN, to a gal I had promised her to when she outgrew my tank. I guess the stress of shipping was too much, she got the crypt again & I don't know how they treated it but she had died.

George, How big is the tank it's in? What tankmates does it get along with?

Right now she is in a friends 65 with a radiata lion. (both have homes when they get bigger) I just did the QT since it is his first tank, and I wanted him to start with healthy fish.
I wouldn't have thought it, but she actually bullies the lion during feeding time. When you drop food in, the lion looks at the puffer, and only gets it if the burr isn't near. LOL
Here is a bad cellphone pic while in QT. I'll get some better ones.

It's nice your puffer leaves all those corals alone.
