After seeking input from everyone I had an email address for, it seems like it is time to make our meetings a bit more structured. Maybe not by the book with minutes and such but with a set format such as:

1. Introductions first - every time. Even though long time members know everyone, the newer members might not remember names a month later. Older members only have to remember one name, new members have to remember 20. Getting contact info and making sure that everyone has provided an email address that wants club emails.
2. Old business, revisiting prior topics to share outcomes or ask more questions or for clarification.
3. New business such as upcoming events, road trips or whatever.
4. Main topic for the evening.
5. closing the meeting which would include stating the date of the next meeting, discussing a topic for the next meeting which would allow for research and thought for members to share their experience and or research findings, volunteer for the next tank tour,
6. and finally the tank tour complete with maps and good directions and contact phone number so no one gets lost.

It has also been suggested that we start at 7 PM sharp, rather than trickling in and waiting for food, etc. Maybe those that want to eat before the meeting could come at 6:30? Round Table surely appreciates the business which is evident by the ease of reserving the room for months in a row. I have had great success with phone ordering pizza ahead of time.

Please, if you have any other thoughts or ideas that could help, especially for a topic for this month's meeting, let me know.

The tank tour will be at my place this time. We will also be having guests from Chico Reef Club attending.

Thanks
