Has anyone been using these for longer than 3months? if so would you mind sharing your experience? I'm interested in buying a couple to light a 5ft 75g tank (60Lx18wx16H) and would like some feedback from persons who have had them longer than a week

I have 2 of these that are over my 90 gal. I bought the extra brackets to mount them in my canopy. I love them. I have the actinics on a sep timer for dusk and dawn. The color with both lights on is amazing and then the actinics alone rocks. Haven't dropped corals in yet. I still have a good bit of evap compared to my MH. No complaints so far. I have had them a little over 3 months

I just got mine in yesterday. I got the 14k 1:1 blue and white. I got some brackets from home depot to mount it in my canopy.

i have 2 on my 75 gallon and 3 on my 180.
all of mine are the 14k ones. they have been on my 75 since those lights came out as i was in the preorder around aug 2010. at that depth you will have to put them kinda high above the tank (when you start off) in my 75 i have to start pretty much everything on the sand.
right now im talking with chris over there about the 200w ones for my 4x4x16 tank

Hiya! Ive been considering getting two 120w 14k evos for my 72 bowfront. As of now i have all lps corals. I would like to get some SPS at some point but idk if two 120's will roast all my mushrooms. the most light demanding corals i have so far are frog spawn and an unidentified leather coral which my friend claims is a toadstool (i think he is wrong). Any thoughts?

I have the 120w 20k evolution and the evil par 38's for the last 4 months. I have good growth across the board. The pars 38's do rust and that is annoying. http://gallery.me.com/austinscaccia/100358/5.2.11%20LED%20PAR/web.jpg?ver=13043749060001

That's seems like some good par. Did you use a par meter or lux and convert?

what is all your thoughts on lighting a 92 corner tank? I will have a bunch of RBTA's, and some softines. I generally use Phx 14K with lots of antinic supplements- so 14K or 20K?

Thanks

14K, IMHO it matches more closely to the phoenix. the 20k is really blue

I have the 14k and Im glad I got those because they still give a strong blue tint to the tank.

ok, the phx is not blue enough for me, I run 4 blue T5 with my halides to get the color I like, so I should probably get the 20K. Which size fixture, and how high would should I place it?

For your 92 corner (which is what Ive wanted for a while now) the 200w fixture should be more than enough

lukky24 How high do you have them over the tank. Do you have the 1.1 or the 2.1
Do the blue LEDs help for par readings? Someone told me they are only for looks.

Chris at reefkoi has the best customer service ive ever experienced, I called about fan noise and practicly had replacement fans delivered faster then I could send an email. Thanks alot Chris I am definatly adding 2 more 120w lights to my 180g sps tank

they are. I should note my 14k are not "reefkoi" but they're the same, and available much cheaper across the net.

I've been running them for about 11mo now. I had one led fail on one of my pendants, I had to take it apart, and "shunt" the led to complete the series. They have a warranty but I chose to fix it myself.

I also had some problems with redbugs. It took me a while to figure it out, but I had them for a long time (without knowing). I treated the tank, and my sps has exploded in growth. These leds are great!!
