Just wondering what glue is best to use to attached corals to live rock..it being with a plug or just straight to the bottom of the coral. What would be the best way to do leathers and other "slimy" type corals? Do any types set under water? Thanks.

You can use a variety of things to glue your corals.
At Home Depot, you can get-
Putty- Water Weld- its about 5 bucks a tube. Its white so it takes a while for coraline to cover.
Super Glue Gel- Gel is important, the other stuff runs too much.
LFS or Marine Depot- Other companies make similar products, so whatever you prefer if you don't want to order the below. I think 2 little Fishies makes reef adhesives as well, probably many others.
What is cool about the putty that is made by these guys is its coraline colored as opposed to white.

***Oh and a trick I learned recently is store your super glue in the freezer... it will prevent the glue from setting up, the lid getting stuck, effectively making it last longer.

But yeah a rubberband, net, or even a zip tie would work for leathers or other slimmy corals.
Edit- Yes they will set up underwater.
The trick with the gel is to put a dab of it on the plug or coral, than dip it in water to form a skin, than add a little more and so on and so on to make it easier to attach.
Plug or no plug is your preference.

super glu is a brand name for CYANO ACRYLATE (pronounced SIGH an o ACK ra late)
they make it in thin and thick/gel
you will want gel formula otherwise the glue is thin like water...
you can find generic glu in a lot of place's except home depot...
ebay, or wood working shops craft shops...
for softies and even some hard corals, you can sandwhich the coral between two rocks or frag plugs and use rubber bands to hold them together and let the coral grow over the rocks/rubberband...
netting works well too. like the 'vail' material for brides, can be found at walmart or other fabric shop.
good luck
