So after about 150 gallons worth of water made I have started to notice that the DI filter went from blue to orange looking. it's about 3/4 the way up. Does this mean I'm going to need to replace it soon?

The do sell color changing DI resin. I have it but use a TDS meter, I think it's more accurate than the color changing. Orange means that it's being depleted

Thanks for the reply, i have a 5 stage plus so its got the TDS meter on top of it. It still reads water at 0 tds coming out of it. so im confused.

it is still good then.. until the output reads 1 youre good to go.. mine usually will turn completely orange and still produce 0ppm water for a while.
Time to reorder some DI resin

I use the BRS DI resin, your going to want to change the DI resin when your TDS hits 1. You'll probably get a 1 TDS reading when the whole canister turns brown. I wouldn't worry about the orange, you've still got a long way to go until you have to replace it.
