For those of you that painted your plumbing, do you have to mask off the area that will be glued before spraying?

Yes otherwise you will not get a good bond when you glue it. Why don't you just glue it first and then spray the whole thing?

On second thought, I guess you could paint the pipe first and then clean/sand it off of the glue area, but that seems like a lot of work

That is what I thought. Some sections I will paint after I glue all the sections together but since I will be plumbing through a wall other sections I will need to glue after painting.

I agree WAY to much work. I am planing on scuffing the pipe prior to painting just so the paint will have better bite.

Thanks for your input!
