I've tried beating them with h2o2 with no luck. I gave it about a week and a half and noticed a dip in the beasties, but they bloomed back up at the 4 day mark. I decided to try raising the pH using lime water (brightwells mix) and noticed no dip. I guess it's time to add a blackout into the equation to see if that gets it. Should I just kill the lights or should I use trashbags to black out the tank entirely?

I have a RBTA in there that I'm a little concerned about. How likely is it that it goes roaming in search of light?
Are there any other concerns with this? I have a sump and skimmer to bring in o2 if I cover the top

Did you try raising the magnesium to 1600 I know there are alot of people that had success with that.

nope, never tried that. Mine is 1300 and change now. The kalk mix I'm using is supposed to up the mag too. I can dose additional mag if I need to
