Calcium, as CaCO3 or an Ion

When you read that a good target for calcium is 450 mg/l is this measiured as CaCO3 or the Ca ion. My calcium reading is 1048 as CaCO3 and 419 as Ca.

You would want to use the calcium ion reading, 419.
