Hey guys,
I just recently mixed my own water. The parameters aren't up to my liking. So can I dose alk, ca, and mag to the levels I want? Let me know. Thanks

Will

That's what I do with my water. Typically I adjust Ca, thinking about doing Mg and Alk in the near future.

Isn't there a salt mix that has all of the ideal parameters already? I'm using Tropic Marin Pro and I've heard that it's low in Alk. I haven't tested the water because I dose, but was wondering if there's any mixes that are better.

I have heard good things about Tropic Marin Pro and Red Sea Pro, both good salts.

I just purchased a bucket of Red Sea Coral Pro. Didn't use it yet but I do 5 gallons WC per week. I only make what I need for WC. Does anyone know if Red Sea Coral Pro is consistent with their parameters. B/c to test very week the saltwater I make can get expensive with all the test I will have to do.

So can u just dose in like 2 part to get the parameters up?

if you need to dose alk and ca. i would dose either alk in the morn and ca at night or vice versa. Dosing both at the same time could lead to percipitation

Will, I am sure you can dose the 2-part to bring up the parameters up like what I did.

I tested the Red Sea Coral Pro right after mixing the salt last week and the ALK was 12 like what they said but the CA is little low like 390 ppm
