Hello,

I have a question specifically about the large mag pumps. I just picked up a used Mag24 and was cleaning it.

I pulled the impeller out but cannot move the shaft within the impeller.

Is that a problem? Is that the way it is supposed to be or should it be free spinning?

The impeller should be connected to the round magnet and not be free spinning. The whole magnet/impeller spins when it's inserted in the pump.

I think you're good to go :)

When you can't pull the impeller/magnet assembly out of the pump is when you have a problem. Rarely these pumps can overheat and that will warp the magnet making it very difficult or impossible to remove.
