Hello RC!

I finally am going to make the splurge of getting a new tank!!
I' am going to go with the new 57gal ( 36"Lx18"Wx22"H)edge rimless system, getting a good deal on it brand new at LFS.

I have been doing alot of research on lights, from MH, T-5, led...
I would love to have LEDS and that is the future but, the prices are some what pricy.

I have been never a fan of MH to much, heat mostly, real big fan of T-5's.

My choices are really down to the
-36" tek fixture 6X39
-36" ati fixture
-aqua medic 8x39 ( i really like this fixture with the 8 bulbs and more Watts)

The tank will be a more of SPS, chalices, zoas, rics, tank..

you can find all these at www.aquacave.com

I hope you all can give me some input on these lights or if have any experience in these lights or other lights that would be great!

Thanks all!!

Don't have much to contribute, just wanted to say:

1. The dimensions on that 57g look great!
2. You're already not doing MH on a 36" tank, so good on you.

The 8 bulb might be more than you need unless you want to grow the more light-demanding corals on the bottom.

Yeah i must say this is a pretty sick tank! great specs and rimless FTW. Yeah thats what i was thinking about the 8 bulb one.. and couldnt find to many reviews on it. Im hearing alot of good reviews on the ATI sunpower 6x39w so im leaning more to that.. Thanks for input

I would think the ATI sunpower 6 bulb unit woud be more than enough for this tank with SPS.

Thats what im thinking, So many ppl love this fixture because of the par output on these lights and having no heat problem.
