Red Algae RHODOPHYTA Health benefits to Fish ?

I have a clump of Red Algae in my 8 foot Reef Tank, which has sprung up from my Live Rock, and is about the 8" High and 6" across. My Lipstick Tang and Pink tail Trigger lie alongside it or swim in the middle and clearly seem to be " Having a good time " They don't eat it which is unusual. Has anyone else experienced this, as I know Red Algae has supposed Health benefits, and the Chinese use it extensively in their Herbal Medicine.
