I'm trying to use the AquaController application on my iPhone and I get this message: "Connection failed. Firmware update required?"

Can anyone give me a step by step for the computer illiterate to get this up and running on my phone? I'm using a Mac if that helps.

Thanks!

What version firmware is your iPhone? What version is your app? I run the same combo without any problems.

I'm not sure what version is on my iPhone, how can I tell? The app is up to date I'm pretty sure. Like I said, I'm not even close to being a techie!

LOL. On your iPhone touch the "settings" icon. Then go to "General" then "About". Scroll down and look for "Version". On that line there should be some numbers (i.e. 4.0.1, 4.2.1, etc.). Post those numbers here. That will tell us what firmware version your iPhone is.

For your app, open it up and scroll down to the page where you see SW Version. Post those numbers here as well. Did you get the app from iTunes?

I suspect that you have an older version firmware and you're running a newer version app. We'll see. :)

What version Aquanotes are you using?
May also want to check the firmware of your AC3. What is that?

I'm not sure, on my computer it says Neptune Systems, copyright 2005 -2007 ??

The application is updated whenever my iPhone says there are updates. I've never been able to use the application and have had it on my phone for over a year, I'm just now working on it! :) Either way, it would be nice to finally get it all done and I appreciate the help MrSandman.

Your AC3 also has firmware. You need to see if that is old too. I suggest you ask a mod to move this thread over to the Neptune forum. Itll get more attention from other people more knowledgeable than i.

Let's take about 10 steps backwards here. Is your AC3 connected to the Internet either via hardwire directly to your router or via a wireless gaming adapter?
