Equipment advice-skimmer etc

Can someone direct me please to evidence based reviews on protein skimmers (currently leaning toward reef dynamics). I have a limited footprint (about 11x12). THere are thousands out there. Is all the quality essentially in the pump?

you will need to post tank size and load. Reef dynamic make a good product but you can probably get a better performing product and a cheaper price.

you wont find a list telling you which one pulls more out. in fact the tests seem to indicate they will only pull out so much.

the best way to find the best skimmer for you tank is to tell us about your tank. what size, what you keep, how many fish including fish types, and how heavy you feed.

These are the things we need to know to get you the right skimmer.

The pump makes a big difference.

Also, when you are looking at a particular skimmer or piece of other equipment recommended, inquire about how good is the Customer Service. There are some excellent skimmers out there but some Customer Service sucks. I am not naming any brands but follow up on this when deciding.
