well i made the mistake of buying one that is ~3" in December. my LFS has one that is a good size bigger. Can they co-exist together in a 180g? i remember reading that they should only be kept male and female.

if not, i guess i can give it away or just keep it in a another tank.

I wouldn't try it. Why not just grow out the one you have?

I feed it a ton and really like the little guy. It is still pretty thin and the color is not at all define and characteristic of a bluejaw. the yellow trimming on the fins hardly even exist and the blue in the jaw is hardly there too. It is suppose to be my the 1st fish in my 180g, but it is so small.

I purchase a pair off DD back in Sep 2009 and shortly after the female started to change to male. In the beginning I thought they were doing their nightly thing when both were spinning near the top. Few months later it got progressively worst and the dominant male would chase the other one at sight. At this point I'd to intervine and removed the dominant male.

Look for a female bluejaw and it would be fun to watch a pair growing up.
