Im sure there is a bunch of people that has made there own. I just want to know the do's and don'ts and what you would of done different. Thanks any pics would help.....

I wouldn't do anything different.

Dont make it so that it fits the top of your tank tightly, I have heard of people doing this then the wood swellsand cracks the tank. A 1/8" gap all the way around is good imo.

Consider what lights you are going to use and plan for the possibility of upgrading at some point when figuring you height.

That is nice if i had a corner tank thats what i would do....

It can be made for rectangle tanks also. The cover is 1/8 inch acrylic painted black. You can heat and bend the acrylic then just attach it to the back wall.
