I am building a 20 gal Long Sump. I have got the inlet section nearly done, which will have 9 inches of water (allowing for some rock). I want to do a refugium and I have always built them in the middle, but I am thinking of doing the fuge on the right and the return in the middle. I have a little giant external return pump which I was going to plumb through the DSB of the fuge and out the right side... does this sound like a bad idea; should I stick to the fuge in the middle....I was going to plumb a split in the inlet with a ball valve for adjustment to keep flow down in the fuge... otherwide, there would be constant high flow over the fuge into the return. Thoughts and comments are welcome.... thanks
