some of my zonathids like to being 'taller' than the rest of the group, are they stretching for light? I have a coralife 2x24 T5HO, I thought there is more than enough light for them?? Any idea?

Generally if they stretch it is for light.

If its different colored colonies that are doing it then they might be palys and not zoanthids.

If it is some of the polyps of an individual colony then it is probably lighting related. Without individual reflectors you might not have enough light.

If the water is yellow then that will also block light. Carbon will help.

might try just moving the colony up about an inch :) easy fix if its a light issue

Its funny how different palys and zoas will act, as far as stretching goes. I have some next to each other- and one kind is barely putting out its tents and flat to the rock- and the one next to it is stretching to the light. obviously toomuch, and too little light respectivly. I have begun to not glue anything down until i see what they like.
