metal halide question.

i have a 29 gallon biocube with a metal halide running a 150 watt 20k double ended bulb.how long should i run this light each day?use it as a regular light?i have no corals and just one damsel for now.:fun4:any input would be greatly appreciated,thx.

It doesnt matter if it is fish only but if you go over 8 hrs. a day you may see excess algae growth.

Without corals it doesnt matter how long you run it. If you get corals I would run it 8 hours

thank you guys very much.ive had halide before but i never used it as a primary light source,just pc's and such.
