I have a TLF 150 and I'm running EcoBak Pellets in it. I'm powering it with a mj1200. It does have the craft store screen mod added to it. I find that it still has a dead spot on one side of the reactor at the bottom. I saw that Reef Octopus has a new reactor with a cone at the bottom. This looks to to me like it is mixing the pellets more efficient.

What do you think? Do you have any cool ideas.

Should I just drill a few 1/4" holes in the down tube at the dead spot zone.

No one knows.... I've stumped the masses?

I had the same problem with my BRS reactor and found that even when it was mounted with their tabs that the bottom of the reactor wasn't level and it would make the pellets tumble poorly. I added a composite shim behind the reactor to get the bottom level and it completely fixed the problem.....

I would say use the adjustment screw on the bottom to make sure the bottom is perfectly level since that should help disperse the water more uniformly.

Not sure what else could be the problem other than that possibility. We made my brothers TLF150 into a BP reactor using the GEO mesh and it runs really well.
