Hi Guys!

After experiencing the tank-busting power of the mantis shrimp first hand, I would like to know, aside from using eggcrate and an acrylic sheet, what else can I use as an alternative to protect my glass tank?

eggcrates and acrylic sheets are hard to comeby here.

Thanks!

Where do you live? Any of the home depot or lowes should have em....

I ordered a custom 20 long with 1/4 inch glass and never had to worry about my chiragra breaking a panel. It's over kill but special ordering thicker glass will keep you safe from a wet floor. Honestly tank breakage is not common.

you can't find light difuser panels at any nearby home improvement center? odd. mmm alternatively you could buy a couple of tubes of aquarium safe silicone and coat the bottom of the tank with a layer. You can even silicone up the side panels a couple inches if you like. The layer shouldn't have to be very thick... maybe 1/16-1/8"?

Hi guys! Yes I live in the Phils and light diffusers are not very common sadly.

I just had a custom made tank with 1/4 inch tank as one of you guys suggested.

Thanks!

I lined the bottom of a 29 with egg crate. For a peacock.
