New sand cloudiness?

Typically how long does it last?

I've let it sit for a few hours before restarting the pump and running the pump overnight and it's still pretty cloudy. Let it sit overnight without the pump running? Was hoping to add live rock tonight.

I don't remember the water staying this cloudy for this long.

Maybe try using a filter sock to floss the water

Give it a day or so. A filter sock will help.

It took a night for my Fiji Pink aragonite live sand to settle down. It came with a "Bio-filter" package of some sort to clear the water, but I didn't use it.

yeah I was using a filter sock. I'll turn the pump on overnight and if it doesn't clear up some by the morning I'll definitely cut it off all day while at work.
