What is it?

Interesting little growth on new coral. We just got this coral in last week. It has an interesting growth that I thought I might ask about. Looks to be just some sort of filter feeder? It is the red and white "christmas tree shaped" thing. We like it, just want to make sure it doesn't require anything special.

Funny you say "christmas tree-shaped" because that looks to be a christmas tree worm.
