I just purchased the Typhoon 5 stage reefkeeper ro/di system and would like to post some feedback for window shoppers that are on the fence for which system to get.
1. I'm USAF stationed in Japan so I have an APO address with an P.O. box. It's a challenge to find any company that will ship to us. If they do they will charge you out the wazoo for second class shipping. This translates to it's going by boat and we won't see it for 6 to 8 weeks. AWI gave me an option to upgrade my shipping to 1st class for a few bucks more. Well worth it as I got my system in 10 days. The box was heavy duty and expertly packed with no wasted space.

2. The unit itself is very impressive, a bit larger than I imagined but not an issue. Construction fit and finish of all items installed was flawless. I read the included instructions from cover to cover. I can say they are detailed but have hard to see pictures. The website has pictures that are easer to see. I can tell you this system is so easy to install and well marked out of the box you really don't need instructions. They do warn you twice to use them though..:furious: Each port is clearly marked for water in, waste, and pure. Installation time for me from start to finish was 30 minutes flat and I was making water with zero leaks!

3. My tds at the tap was 070. It read 000 on the output of my reefkeeper in less than an hour after install. Overall this is one product I can say is worth every dime I spent on it.

4. The only issue I had was the operation of the fast flush valve as it was not covered in any of the directions. I had to resort to looking up the product description on the website to figure it out. But again not a big issue as the equipment worked flawless I just didn't know how to use it...

Thanks.

I've had the Typhoon III extreme for a few years now. Absolutely the best! Service here is too. Good choice....

I finally got my new RO/DI unit installed. I chose to install it in the garage since the heater room was so cramped that I had a hard time removing the filters with my last unit. The only problem I will have now is freezing filters in the winter time.

Here are some pics I took of the unit. It's installed above my home water filtration/ softener unit.

Buy the typhoon stage 5 with 75gallon membrane. Also buy the 2 way TDS meter and float valve. You can't go wrong with this setup.

I just ordered this setup (minus the float valve) this morning. Had to place the order over the phone because I had a gift certificate the company had donated to our club. Very nice lady took my order.
I was told it should ship out later today.
Can't wait to get it here and installed!

Great system! I would recommend Air, Water & Ice for all of your Ro/DI needs
