All fish can jump; anthias definitely can jump. What kind of anthias?

Everything I have read when looking into buying my anthias indicates that they are jumpers!

Most definitely. I've had both a Bartletts male and a Dispar male jump. Luckily I was able to save the Dispar.

if they have the propensity to jump, then nevermind.

so i guess all anthias are known jumpers then..

i was just looking for any fish that i can do in a group of 5-6. no chromis...

I think the point being made is that ALL fish have potential of jumping.
If you plan to go open top, I would not let that keep me from purchasing anthias, just be aware there is risk.
You may want to look into the birdnet tops, those work great.

I bought six. Two jumped before I put bird netting over the top of my tank with window screen frame. They are very active especially when feeding or when startled. They can move like a rocket. Quite lovely though. I really like them.

Thanks I fully understand that.

Some fish are just much more prone to jumping than others. That was what i was asking.

2 of my 3 jumped.
Fortunately, the second one landed in the frag tank, 1.5m below the main DT !
(as I checked the FT out, my initial reaction was where the heck did the new fish come from !!!)

Just be sure to keep in mind that they are known to be great jumpers... What i would do is place a mesh of some sort to cover the top so they cannot jump out... :D
Good luck...
