Okay so maybe it's a bad title but I figure most of us are posting from work so I'm curious what does everyone do for a living?

I'll start and it's kind of obvious from my handle but I'm a graphic artist, production specialist, and project manager of a print shop on the Milford/Orange line down the street from Exotic Fish and Coral but sadly they're always closed by the time I get out of work:sad1:. I'm also a freelance illustrator after hours as if I don't have enough to do, lol :fun4:

Small world CTReefer, do you work in Farmington or New Britian? I used to work for Stanley in the factory doing assembly I left for awhile and then they made me an offer to come back and do install which beats the hell out of the assembly line but brutal hours. Then I got laid off and it's been about 2 years and they still tell me as soon as they pick up again I'm first in line to be brought back, lol.

Not a new grad and with a nursing license? If you're an RN I'm sort of boggled that you can't find work in this state. LPN, I can understand. Nobody hires LPNs in CT.

No new grad....I've been an ER nurse for over 20 years. I guess I'm just being picky. Not really wanting to work nights or weekends anymore. I've done my share of every other weekend and working Christmas, Thanksgiving etc. I worked in a free standing ER before I moved here (sort of like an Urgent care but we saw everything) but there really aren't any of those around here. It was good hours. 10-8. Still did some weekends but usually off holidays. I'm really close to UConn Med Center.

We certainly are! I'm a little farther up Commerce on Research Dr in the Scinto buildings. I worked at that old healthnet building back in 2008 when I worked for that company in the mailroom as a temp. Nice building!
