My Water Peramiters Got Stuck :/

Okay, my tank is like 33 days in and for some reason the water perams havent changed in two weeks.
ammonia .2
Nitrate 7
Nitrite 0
the tank is doing fine but the ammoina and nitrate just wont budge.... What am i missing?

Need way more info about your tank. What size, how much sand & rock, what did you start the cycle with.

Have you tested the ammonia with any other test kit? Maybe yours is expired or faulty?

29 gal tank, 30 pounds base rock 3 pounds live rock, stared cycle with raw shrimp, bought test kits on Christmas and i was testing the peramiters before and it was changing and all seemed to be going well.

Anything your doing to export nitrates? How often do you do water changes? Carbon dosing, cheato, biopelets, anything?

Ive been kinda lazy lately with midterms and everything and was rarely doing waterchanges, but i put in some cheato yesterday and will start doing weekly or biweekly waterchanges... Will that help?

theres your problem you OLNY HAVE 3 lbs of live rock fighting the ammonia, it take a while for such a small amount of live rock to seed 30lbs. most people use like 60 to 70% live rock with the rest base rock. my tanks cycle in a few weeks maybe two weeks and there no sign of anything no matter how many dead shrimp are in there. 3lbs of lr is nothing thats like one little rock lol If i were you i would take most of the base rock out and replace it with cured live rock and i bet the tank will cycle way faster.
