i have 36'' fixture with 1x150 watt metal halide 10,000k, 2x39 watt blue actinic T5's, and 4 lunar LED's. is this good lighting for acroporas? my calcium level is 450, phosphate and nitrates are 0, alk is 10dkh, ph is 8.1-8.2? if i can get acros (depending on how long you have to have your tank established), is this good and proper lighting?

It's fine if you keep them on the top 3/4 side of your tank.

I, too, have 150 watt Mh with actinics, etc. See sig. Your tank is a little tall at 31 for a 150w. You should be fine so long as you keep the acros in the upper half of your tank, closer to the middle under that single 150W MH.

ok sounds good. i thought i would have been fine with that light but guess i should have gone bigger lol, go big or go home. i just got one two days ago, and it looks pretty good to me, but its blue stem with brownish polyps, anyone know what type this is, and it actually grew one of the polyps i can tell is like a good .25'' lol, hard to believe you can see the difference. but does anyone know what type it is and if it is normal for this type to have brown polyps it did have brown polyps at the LFS.
