I just spent $400 and the last 2 days installing a sump and a ASM G-2 skimmer hoping to provide better filtration to my tank. I'd like to get your feedback as to the water and bubble levels for this skimmer. I used to use a cheap seaclone skimmer but decided to get the real deal. I turned on the system yesterday, dialed it in, and I was able to get about 3/4" of light green water out this morning. Let me know.

Too high.

If the skimmer is new it will take time to break in and when it does its going to overflow.

The sponge should be lowered a bit too. The asm skimmers have been around for a while. You can find some mod threads that will show you how to get the most out of it.

Selling a seaclone to someone who doesn't know any better should be a crime.
