If anyone is interested in hosting March or April meetings, then please let me know. I am also taking suggestions for meeting locations when we do not have a host.

Thanks,
Tech Diver

Look into the new Japanese/Chinese Restr on FE Wright Dr. I was excited when I saw they had a tank, only to discover it was freshwater and big old goldfish/Koi! It is called Jueng Jun or something like that. It is one big room. You can check it out, but I think the back can be arranged to accomodate our group and the food is fairly good and reasonable. It has got to be quieter than Brooksies. LOL.

That could be a good month for ya'll to head west, especially since I'll be in the middle of building another Monster tank... This system will be around 1100 gallons. :)

What weekend are you thinking about, Tim? I'll see how many can make the trip.

What other month will be good just in case this one doesn't work?

Thanks,

Brent and I think Logan's Roadhouse would be a good place for a meeting. We checked it out one night and there is a private room with doors or a semi-private room with no doors. Also, I'm open to going to see tgreene's tanks, too! I'm always up for big tanks.

Logan's would be good too and they have a good bar.

It sounds like we have a few locations for future meetings.

How many would be up for going to Jonesboro, Arkansas for a March meeting? This will be a trip to see a monster reef tank setup. He may also arrange for us to see a few other big tanks nearby that he maintains.

I just talked to Tim and he says that Saturday March 19th would be a good day. How does this sound to you guys?

I also wanted to see how early everyone wants to get there. We wouldn't want to wait too late if we are going to view large tanks at 4 + locations. He is checking with his client to get us in to see the large tank build which will be in progress. If people want to travel there that morning, then we can maybe meet there at 10 am or so. Let me know what you think.

I'll post a thread for this when we decide on a date and time. Then we will get an official head count on that thread. We will also be doing a small frag swap if you guys are up for it. Since it is winter, you may want to bring coolers and hand warmer packs for the trip in case you are purchasing or trading coral. The corals you bring can immediately go to Tim's fish room tanks to keep the temp in check. You can then make your trades later in the day.

Since we have an interest in Logan's, how about we make that our April meeting spot? We can go with 2nd or 3rd weekend. What do you guys think?

So far we'll have 4 large systems to see, with 1 or 2 more as a possibility...

My 1200g, (2) 240+125's, (1) 1000g and hopefully the 1100 that's in progress (if the weather ever cooperates anyway) and possibly a 300g that is owned by the same people.

I think we will go with March 19th @ 10am. I'll go ahead and make a thread for it.
