Hello,

Does anyone using this pump externally as a return pump?
Can you give me some feed back?

They're great heaters, but also move some water too :D

Quite frankly they're relatively inefficient and produce a massive amount of heat. TECHNICALLY they can be run externally, but I wouldn't trust it for any more than short periods at a time. There are tons of really good external alternatives to this pump.

I ran my Mag 7 as an external pump for a few months with little problems. I dont know what is different about the Mag 18 compaired to the 7 but it wasnt bad. Loud when it was outside of the water.

Look at the waterblaster pumps. Mag18 is indeed a great heater.
