So my problem is this....
I just bought 3 new ballasts and bulbs, 2 of the three bulbs fire the third does not. The bulb when plugged in flickers twice, then nothing, the bulb stays dark. This is what I have done so far to trouble shoot:
1.) Tried different plug ins.
2.) Shortened my cords to less then 6ft. (Whip is 12 inches)
3.) Tried differnet bulbs on socket and ballast, they each do the same thing, flicker twice then black.
4.) Screwed and unscrewed the bulb in several times.
5.) Bent the small part the bulb touches in the socket upward for better connection.
6.) Re-wired all connections.
The other ballasts (blue coralvue 250w. electronic) and bulb (Radium 250w.) have worked fine since the initial plug in.
Im assumming its my ballast or socket. Any ideas?
