Actinic Swap

I've got a ballast powering 2 36" Actinics, can I use it on 48" tubes or do I need a different ballast?

Hi Mike.Ive only been in the hobby for about a year so Im still pretty new but Ive been told because the 48" are more wattage than the 36" that you would need a different ballast. Supposedly each ballast is specified for only one type of bulb. Of course I could be wrong being Im a "newbie" but just thought Id mention it. :)

That's what I thought too, my ballast has no markings on it. It is a Coral Life 2 lamp electronic ballast. I am getting started again after a hurricane mandated break.:) Thanks for the input!
