The toxins they release can crash your whole tank. Syphon out as many as you can before using FWE, and be prepared to run some heavy carbon.
More than likely you'll have to dose again in a weeks time.
Good luck

From what I understand, they will die off pretty quick... I have (2) aquaclear 110 hang on power filters I will put on the display itself with 2 full media bags in each, plus the 4 BRS canisters in the sump... I guess ill treat with the medication then do a 1/3 water change then run all the carbon for a full 24 hours... then repeat the following week for the eggs and whatnot... this should be a good safe and.efficient way to treat them I am thinking...

aagain, I don't seem to have too many, so hopefully the toxins will be limited...

FWE is a quick fix with potentially disastrous consequences because of the toxins released from a dying FW population.
We had a major FW outbreak (THOUSANDS of FW's) last summer and I found that taking the time to manually siphon them out of the tank plus adding a six line wrasse works just as well without the risk of nuking your tank.
In this hobby there are no shortcuts or quick fixes...
Cheers!
