Tube Anemone

I have a tube anemone in my reef/fish tank. My lavender tang seems to shows scars of it being stung by the tube anemone, since the tang sleeps in the area where the anemone is placed. Is it safe for my fish with this anemone in my tank at the same time, or should i get rid of it?
