Finally got my 29g going. Tank cycled in 8 days according to water test from respected salt store.

Deltec mce 300 skimmer, hydor nano 425 powerhead, dsb with live substrate and quality live rock.

3 blue legs and 1 peppermint shrimp added last night. responding well.

Do any of you all recommend another peppermint or any other inverts? I am not adding fish for a few weeks but I am interested in increasing the invert bioload.

You should get about 10-20 snails

10-20 snails!?! That will max the bioload when I add fish...not sure about this one

Why do you want to increase your invert bioload? When you say inverts, are you thinking of cleanup crew inverts or things you want for ornamental reasons?

I like to go slow with my cleanup crew, like everything else. I add them as I need them. For instance, my new 75 gallon reef has been setup since November and I have 4 trochus snails, 2 nassarius snails, and a serpent starfish. That's it so far for cleaners, and I really don't think I need many more. Maybe a couple more nassarius to totally ensure that all of the uneaten food gets taken care of. Well I also have a goby that does a great job turning my sand over so I guess I should include him as a member of my crew.

Inverts dont cause bioload, well not much.

i would go to reefcleaners.org and order them through there. they have quick crews and john there knows his stuff.

I would hold off adding more since ur tank has just finished cycling. needs more time to build bacteria and mature. a week would be good.
