I have a 40g acrylic bow front that will be a reef tank. the top is all acrylic. what type of unit can I get for it

What do you mean the top is all acrylic? You have a lid over your tank? If so I would
Ditch that.

It all depends on what you wanna grow. I have seen small ATI t5 modules like a 4 bulb in a 24" model. Check out reef geek they have factory seconds.
