Are they worth it? A guy from SCMAS told me the only way to test low levels are with a digital test meter. My levels show zero but I'm sure its wrong.

I think it's a fine kit for phosphate down to .1 ppm or a bit less.

The Salifert kit might be as accurate or more accurate than the meters, depending on the range. The Hach PO-19 seems to very good, too, although not as easy to read as a meter.

The new Hanna ULR meter might be fine, but there isn't a lot of data on it. I'd try the Hanna kit, personally.

Thanks, I am curious if you have any experience with the D-D phosphate kit? Supposedly its more accurate on the low end than Salifert. The Hanna meter does seem like the way to go in my book.

im curious about that too.. ive never seen it read anything...my tank is pretty damn clean but still wonder

I've only used the Salifert and Hach phosphate kits.
