Just picked her up at the LFS and quite very excited. She found herself a nice cave and stayed in there. When i introduced a frozen krill she was more interested with the stick than the krill. Eventually she took the krill and I thought she was going to eat it, but no she just threw it towards the back of the tank. So I decided to put in 2 hermit crabs and all she does is stares at it?? Is this normal behavior? This is my first mantis

that seems normal give her a few days to get used to her new home and i'm sure she will be hungry and willing to eat.

Gonodactylaceus ternatensis typically are not very "active". In nature they live in live branching coral heads and rarely venture out to feed.

Yeah I can see that now. Ever since I got it yesterday it hasn't even came out once. All the hermit crabs and snails are still alive.
